Mindher AI was founded to answer the call for ethics in technology. We recognized that these vital conversations were happening in closed spaces, often excluding the diverse voices and perspectives needed to succeed. At Mindher, we are building a new model for ethical AI—one that is open, inclusive, and grounded in the collective wisdom of our community.

Why Mindher Exists
The conversation around AI ethics felt like an echo chamber. I spent my time following posts on LinkedIn, where the discourse was almost exclusively between big tech, research labs, and academic think tanks. A critical voice was missing from the room: the voice of everyday people—the very individuals most impacted by this technology.
I was motivated to change this. After founding an initial council, I quickly realized our shared ambition was outgrowing our space. We needed a way to turn dialogue into action and share our work with the world.
I began to search for a new solution, but nothing I found felt right. The true breakthrough came when I was inspired by a simple idea: to build the community you wish you had or the one you couldn't find. With this renewed purpose, I began to rebuild the concept for Mindher from the ground up.
But a name still eluded me. It was only when I considered what truly mattered that the solution arrived: a commitment to mindful, critical thinking, the protection of humanity, the needs of the environment, and our shared responsibility.
Mindher was born.

Honestly, most values today are essentially words to live by until they aren't. This could not be more true than in technology where social good has become ubiquitous with profit. Still, you want to know who you are partnering with and what they stand for - or you hope they will continue to stand for after the shine wears off.

Our Methodology: Ethics en Plein Air
Mindher is built on a methodology of turning abstract ethical principles into tangible, collective action. Through a transparent process we call 'Ethics en Plein Air,' bringing ethics work into the public, we work across three distinct tiers of collaborative projects:

Praxis Projects: These are longer projects that involve deeper research and tackle more nuanced or difficult topics.

Open Labs: These are smaller, shorter-term projects designed for rapid iteration and focused outcomes.

Personal Project Tier: For individuals with their own projects, Mindher lends support and resources to help bring their ideas to life.
We also establish relationships with startups to provide a real-world context and support for our collaborative work.
Each project is guided by collaboration, diverse skills, and lived experience. We move ethics out into the world to gain practical wisdom and inform our work.
